Flounder Report at Flattie Bridge 9/18

Took my friend Zack with me to the flattie bridge for another evening of flounder jigging. I've had luck on the north side so thats where we started. Overall the bite was pretty slow compared to other nights though. Not much to report tonight, even though I did catch 3 flounder. Two of which were too small to keep. First one came when I was working a gulp shrimp new penny. It was the smallest flounder I've ever caught...it wasn't much bigger than the shrimp!
Down on the other end I was working a small gotcha plug for the ladyfish and snook, but guess who decides to inhale the treble hook! It was another small flounder. He hooked himself pretty good too, all three points of the treble hook were stuck in it's mouth. After some careful surgery I gave him a release.
Then working our way back I'm using my famous river killer jig and hook into a 12" flattie to call it a night. A little disappointed the flounder were small tonight. I did keep the one 12" just because I was tired of throwing back short flounder after short flounder.
